2012 Northeast Ski Movie Premieres

From "Further", the TGR and Jeremy Jones film.

It's that time of year again: time to break out the long sleeved shirts and woollies.  The first snows are starting to Fall in the high peaks as old man winter stops hitting the snooze button, drinks his coffee and gets down to business.  He doesn't demand blood sacrifices like the mountain biking gods.  He does, however, demand to be entertained from September through December.  So Warren, Teton, Red Bull and those Meatheads make their annual offerings all so that we can bask in Winter's powdery glory.

It is time for us to go re-live the best of last year's season and get stoked for the season ahead.

To that end, I've put together a list of this year's ski movie premieres in the Northeast.  Now this list isn't comprehensive as I've left out those movies that focus mostly on urban or terrain park skiing... But these are the ones that I'm particularly interested in seeing. If you think I've missed something important.  Don't hesitate to let me know it.

Hopefully this year's movies will be better than last year's winter.

It's always fun to see the local spots on the big screen, and these guys have a great sense of humor.  This year's film is sure to feature the big Jay Peak storm.  Unfortunately, for those of us who chose to ski elsewhere that week, this will be first time we'll be seeing that storm.

Now if we could only get them to post their tour dates on their website.

I'm keeping a close eye on this movie, despite the fact there haven't been any premiere dates announces.  The trailer gave me goosebumps.

  1. I chose to ski Moosilauke on the day of the Jay Peak storm, and it was pretty epic there!

  2. That's pretty awesome. I was actually lapping East Bowl over at Burke that day because I thought the wind would shut down the best parts of Jay. Boy was I wrong.

  3. Thank you for sharing information about the snow conditions in Pennsylvania. This may be the last winter storm we get. Well we can only hope!
